 I had to make changes to this poster to make sure that the details given in the steel tongs font were in a specific order that other film posters were also in. Meaning that it looks more professional and realistic.

Alterations made to this one include the change of the fonts. I changed the font of the The Retribution as a way to make it stand out more and grab a lot more attention, I then added a slight stroke to the text to increase the attention factor. I tried to keep the font of the title in keeping with the horror genre. I then changed the font of the "spiral films and director" as well as "talk controversy & reactions to critics" as I didn't think the fonts were connected and wanted to emphasise that they're from the same story, I changed the font to American Captain and added a slight stroke, similar to what I had done to the "is here!" on the previous amendments.

What I have done to this magazine as an attempt to make it lighter and fit with the genre better, I have changed the body of the star of the trailer, I photoshopped the head onto a different body covered in blood and added the prop of the knife. I did this using the magnetic lasso tool to cut out the body. I then using the stamp tool to change the skin tone of the body as the face and chest were different shades, I also used the stamp tool to add some excess hair around the shoulders to make them merge more. I then finally added some more stroke to the words "is here!" as I didn't think they stood out well enough.

These photos have been taken to add to the magazine, no headshots have been made as they aren't necessary, the only thing I wish to use is the body. I took photos of the model with both blood on her top and a clean top, as I wanted to see which look best on the existing magazine I had. I will use photoshop to cut out the necessary parts of the picture and add it to the magazine, with the existing pictures head on the top of the body.

The alterations made to this poster, include adding a picture to the background of the poster and bringing the picture of the possessed girl to the foreground of the picture. I did this as it was suggested to me that the poster didn't fully match with the narrative of the trailer, therefore I decided to take a picture of a house, which is the setting of the trailer, with an SLR camera, then use photoshop to add a filter to the picture and send it to the back of the poster, I kept the pin light on the possessed girl as I thought it increased the horror genre well, I then increased the size of the photo to make sure it was still the main focus.

Research and Planning: Audience Feedback

This is the audience feedback which was gathered from my class mates during a feedback session. From this we acquired information in regards to all three of our documents, being our trailer, poster and magazine. We noticed that the genre was obvious to all the groups, therefore meaning that we succeeding in making our trailer a horror convention. The improvements with the trailer include adding a sountrack to the trailer which means can't be completely done until the rest of the trailer has been filmed and added to our existing footage. Most the comments referring to the trailer are basically just commenting on the fact that it is incomplete, we will arrange a filming date to finish the rest of the footage.

In regards to me personally, my strengths for the poster and magazine are the layout and the pictures, as the effects on the images compliment the horror genre. The areas of improvement include altering the picture on the magazine slightly as it appears too dark, also the poster has too much free space so therefore I am going to add a picture to also add to the narrative.

I have altered the title of The Retribution by increasing the intensity of the stroke making it slightly bolder, I also increased the size of the text by 20pt, this is as a result of the feedback that I was given on the social networking BBM, I added another coverline yet thought the magazine looked too compact and took too much attention away from the picture. Instead, I moved the text from the bottom slightly higher to the top meaning the bottom doesn't look too packed.

This heart beat sound is going to be added to the beginning of the trailer to add tension and engage the viewer, it also increase the horror, on Imovie the sound will be split so that the heartbeat increases as the horror of the trailer increase too.
